NWO modifies its criteria for open access publishing

NWO has modified the criteria for its Incentive Fund Open Access - Publications. Main applicants for NWO-funded research can apply for a contribution from this fund to publish their research results in open access. A maximum budget of EUR 6,000 is available for each research project. NWO will only reimburse costs if results are published in a fully open access journal. The costs of publishing in ‘hybrid’ journals, where only some of the articles are available in open access, will no longer be reimbursed from the Incentive Fund.
