European Commissioner Carlos Moedas supports LERU statement

LERU, the League of European Research Universities, has published a statement to support the transition from the traditional publication model, based on subscriptions, towards publishing in open access. State Secretary Sander Dekker has put forward open access as important issue during the Dutch EU presidency during January-June 2016. The signed statement will be presented to Dekker and Carlos Moedas, European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation. LERU hopes on a breakthrough on a new business model for open access publishing.
