Igitur, the Publishing & Archiving Services of the Utrecht University Library, has launched a new electronic Open Access journal in cooperation with the Faculty of Science, Department of Information and Computing Services of Utrecht University: Journal of Chain-computerisation - Information exchange for chain co-operation (JCC).

Professor Jan Grijpink from the Institute of Information and Computer Sciences is the journal’s creator and editor-in-chief.

JCC publishes articles on large scale information exchange for social issues. The journal focuses on the development and maintenance of information-infrastructures for chain wide co-operation of independent organizations and professionals in a specific social sector, e.g. criminal law enforcement, health care, identity management, or education.

The first articles are now freely available online and readers can register to receive notifications for newly published articles via the journal’s website.
